Den Number 1
Our Den works on some Wolf Achievements as a group,
goes on field trips together, and works on special projects as a den.
It looks like nothing but fun, games and a lot of adventure! But in reality, members of Den Number 1 are not only having fun, they are learning some valuable skills and gaining some real world experiences through special activities. During the first half of the year, our den will work on specific achievements as a group in order to earn our Wolf Badge. Other activities are done at home in order to meet all the requirements to advance. Our goal is to have the entire den earn their Wolf Badge by the Blue & Gold Banquet. This year, we are also participating in the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program. We will work toward the Physical Fitness and Bicycling Sports Belt Loop and Pin, and the Art and Wildlife Conservation Academic Belt Loop and Pin. Other activities include our Christmas and Lent den service projects and participating in the pack service project. Some members of our den will also be working on the Light of Christ religious award this year.

Wolf Cub Scout Book
Most of the den activities done during the first half of the year are pulled from the many requirements listed in the Wolf Book as achievements toward rank. Electives and other program activities are pulled together along with these to create a complete program for our den. While some requirements will be done as a den, each Scout will be responsible for completing all of the other achievements on his own. Look through our Den Calendar to find out what activites are coming up next! The yellow Be Prepared sheets handed out at the end of each Den Meeting will provide you with information about upcoming events, and help guide you on which things to work on at home. You may also wish to take a look at the Den Activity Plan to help figure out which activities will be done as a den, and which ones to work on individually.
Be Prepared Sheets
At the end of each Den Meeting, you will be given a yellow Be Prepared sheet. This sheet contains information about upcoming events, reminds you of the next Den Meeting, and gives suggestions on what activities to work on next at home to accompany future den activities. The sheet may also inform you of what requirements may need to be completed before a den activity, or even what to bring to a den meeting if applicable.

Cub Scouts Sports & Academics Program
We have selected two sports and two academics belt loops and pins to work on during the year. These four subjects were chosen because they tied in with the Wolf achievements that the den would be working on this year. The first level of participation is the belt loop. The second level is the pin. Not every scout will complete all of the requirements for all of the programs. The most important thing is that they try some activities and projects that they wouldn't necessarily have tried on their own. The requirements for each of these four programs have been provided for you in the blue binder. Additional copies can be viewed and printed from the links below.
